MOGRT Error Message

Help! I’m trying to install the MOGRTs and I’m getting this error message:

The following Motion Graphics Templates are not compatible with this version of Premiere Pro.
Please update to the latest version of Premiere Pro in order to use these templates.

If you’re using the latest version of Premiere Pro and are getting this message, the most likely cause is that the files got corrupted during download. I don’t know why this happens sometimes, but it is easily fixed by simply downloading again.

If the problem persists after that, it may be that you have some firewall or antivirus software that is mistaking the ZIP file for something malicious and corrupting its contents. If this happens, contact me through the contact page, letting me know the email by which you downloaded the product with. I will then find your purchase and issue you with an alternative download link.

Premiere Pro 2025

The MOGRTs aren’t importing and working in Premiere Pro 2025 like you showed in your video

Yes, Premiere Pro has a new way of importing MOGRTs since I made that video. Click the + next to your Local Templates Dropdown and select the folder containing the MOGRTs.

The controls for each MOGRT are now found in the Properties window.

Duplicated presets?

I see the same film stocks duplicated in different packs. Are they the same presets?

No. No preset is ever duplicated. They are all different interpretations of the same stocks.

There’s so much that goes into making a film look the way it does: How the film was scanned, how it was exposed, the temperature of the developer, the age of the film and how it was stored etc. …there’s a plethora of factors that make the final images look so different from one another and making a digital version of a film stock is not an exact science. Some of my favourite film stocks I have made numerous interpretations of due to the different ways I have seen them look when I’ve shot them.

Reset Frame Option Missing

Help! The Reset Frame preset is missing/isn’t working anymore!

Yes. Adobe changed its masking feature in Lightroom and as a result, it is no longer possible to have a Reset Frame preset. Instead, open your Masks panel and there you will see your frame. Select and delete as desired.

Can I Use These for Commercial Projects?

Yes. You can use the Presets, LUTs, MOGRTs, Overlays, and Sound files for personal or commercial work. You don’t need to credit me. Although if you want to, please feel free.

Can I Have The Presets as DNGs?

No. Unfortunately my presets are too complex to work in this way. A lot of them use colour profiles that also need to be installed for the presets to work. Also, Lightroom CC and the Lightroom mobile app have a limited set of user controls, but can support presets that utilise features not found in these stripped-back versions (eg the calibration controls). This means that the presets apply effects that cannot be copied over with DNG files.

In order to install the presets in the mobile app, you MUST have a Creative Cloud subscription and access to the desktop version of Lightroom CC. Install the presets in this app whilst being signed in, and the presets and profiles will sync to your mobile app.

I Accidentally Bought it Twice. Can I Get a Refund?

While there is a no-refunds policy for digital downloads, I will refund accidental duplicate purchases in most cases. However, as I get charged a transaction fee (not to mention the additional admin work), I will deduct the transaction fee from the refund so I’m not out-of-pocket.

New Download Link

I Accidentally Deleted My Product. Can I Get a New Download Link?

At the moment, I usually do this. However, this is becoming a daily occurrence and the amount of time it’s taking me to find all the old transactions and reissue downloads is becoming a problem. A lot of the time this involves a lot of back and forth over email before the customer realises that they purchased it under an old email address. Anyway… it’s time consuming. So at some point I’m going to stop offering this as a service.

Bottom line: Please back up your files.

Issue After Software Update

I ran a Premiere/Lightroom/Photoshop update and now my MOGRTS/Presets/Actions don’t work. Can I get a refund?

Please note that while I strive to ensure compatibility of my products with Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, and Photoshop, I cannot guarantee that future updates or changes made by Adobe will not affect their functionality. Adobe periodically updates its software, which potentially could result in presets or MOGRTs not working as intended.

I will always try my best to update any product to maintain compatibility with the latest version of the Adobe products, but I don’t know what Adobe will do and this may not always be possible. You can always revert back to the previous version if you run an update and Adobe remove a feature that my products used.

This hypothetical scenario hasn’t happened so far, but the question of whether I will issue a refund will dependent on the situation. My priority will always be for my products to work with the latest versions of all the software, but I will be fair and reasonable in my decision on refunds.

No. They work on the proper versions. Pay for the product you cheapskate.
