My brother is autistic, has severe learning difficulties, and is non-verbal. During a belated Christmas visit, I captured this portrait just after he downed his 3rd can of Coke. Sitting still and seemingly lost in thought with a crumpled paper crown on his head. A moment that felt both tender and slightly absurd.
